How does the tutoring work?
Mobile Academics is unique in this area, particularly when compared to other tutoring services! Our tutors and administration will reach out to your student’s teachers and evaluate past homework and exams to help determine the student’s strengths and weaknesses. Our goal is to offer effective one-on-one instruction in the convenience of your own home, focusing on academic improvement and building confidence. Our recipe for success includes:
- Explanation of lessons
- Test taking strategies
- Test and quiz review
- Help with homework
- Problem solving skills
To do this, the tutor uses your student’s books, worksheets, notes, tests and classroom information. Drawing on their skills and experience, the tutors are constantly assessing and restructuring the lessons to make each sessions successful.
The teacher says my child is not motivated. Can you help?
Absolutely. Many of our students are discouraged because school is extremely challenging for them. We break assignments down and teach lessons so they are easy to understand. Our tutors will work with your student to find study strategies that apply directly to their unique learning style, then tailor the sessions to their particular needs. Often students just need a little extra help to build their confidence and get them on the right track.
